Private bedroom work spaces at Sunlit are available throughout the year at a highly subsidized rates for week-long and month-long residencies for writers, scholars, artists, and activists.

Mini-Residencies:

While we prefer residents stay at least 1 week, we aim to be flexible.  
Stays of 1, 2, or 3 nights can be arranged.

Residents must be self-driven, independent and able to work in a manner respectful of other residents at Sunlit.

 

Applicants will be asked to briefly articulate their projects, share why they think they would benefit from time at Sunlit Residency, and provide samples of their work.
 

Residents are expected to provide their own food and prepare their own meals.

Ample pantry and refrigerator space is available in the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware. Bedding, towels, and paper products are provided.
 

Application Periods: 

Applications are accepted year-round. Please allow up to 14 days for a response. Flexibility with dates is greatly appreciated. 

 

Fees:
Week-long residencies are available at the highly subsidized rate of $400 per week. 
Mini-residencies are available at the nightly rate of $100.

A non-refundable $100  deposit is required to reserve a spot. 

Other Fees:​

Applicable sales tax of 8% and occupancy tax of 5% also apply.
