The competitive summer residency program is fully subsidized.

Dr. Sue-Je Gage's Ithaca, NY home, located just outside the Ithaca city limits and the Cornell University campus, will provide each resident with a private bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, communal and studio space. Residents will be able to focus on their projects at multiple stages of completion in this supportive and inspiring environment. In addition, Sunlit Residency will provide residents with  library privileges at Ithaca College; they can also access the libraries at Cornell University for a small fee. Residents are free to pursue opportunities for community engagement during their stay. Mentors and faculty available for consultation include fiction writer Nick Kowalczyk, creative nonfiction writer Hannah Bae, scholar Eleana J.  Kim, and translator Annette H. Levine. Though residents generally apply independently, collaborative projects involving of up to two residents are encouraged.

Reserve your spot for a weeklong or monthlong residency.
